In addition to being lighter than their steel counterparts, our aluminum spray booms offer a huge reduction in moment of inertia forces. With 100’+ wide-span steel spray booms, their own weight is their biggest enemy. You can actually feel it pull your crop sprayer around. Imagine an airplane with steel instead of aluminum wings - one little bump and the wings would crumple under their own weight. The elasticity modulus of aluminum is also about a 1/3 that of steel, giving aluminum a “bend but won’t break” property.

Our revolutionary Millennium sprayer boom is superior to competitor’s products in four key areas: design, materials, fabrication, and service.

  • Design: The Millennium's design is innovation at its finest. We used a team of specialized engineers to perform predictive Finite Element Analysis to help us understand how the design would react to real-world forces and stresses. This process resulted in a new design with multiple utility patents, and the Millennium sprayer boom was born.

  • Materials: Our spray booms are made of US sourced aircraft grade 6061-T6 and 6005A-T6 aluminum alloy. whereas our competition uses weaker 6063-T6 to save costs.

  • Fabrication: We have always taken pride in workmanship, and maintaining a world-class welding operation is critical for our stringent quality guidelines. We work with a renowned instructor and trainer who has literally written the book on aluminum welding, and all our welders are regularly tested and certified to AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code standards.

  • Service: Keeping your crop sprayer operable in the field is our top priority and we take great pride in our 24/7 world class service and spray boom support. If things go wrong just call our 24/7/365 Service Line and we are typically on-site to provide service/support the very next day.

Our booms are made of US sourced aircraft grade 6061-T6 and 6005A-T6 aluminum alloy which provide outstanding strength and durability. Our competitor’s typically use the weaker and less expensive 6063-T6.

We still wanted to know how our new product would perform in the toughest of environments, so we mounted string potentiometers and stress and strain gages on our sprayer boom and performed exhaustive fatigue life testing on a major brand test track. From this we learned that the Millennium design offers up to a 1,000% improvement in useful life compared to our previous design.

As of 2018 we’ve had our Millennium boom in the field for over 4 years with and the feedback has been excellent. One customer reported spraying over 300,000 acres without a single reported issue.

That’s a big deal. At Specialty Enterprises we put our money where our mouth is and we stand behind our claim that our sprayer booms are the best that money can buy. Period.

Proudly designed and manufactured in Wautoma, WI using aluminum sourced and extruded right here in the USA. Our centralized location is also convenient for installation and service.

All our sprayer booms come with a limited 2-year warranty that begins once the booms have been installed. Our top priority is to make sure our customers are making the most of their limited time in the field and we provide 24/7/365 field service and support dedicated to keeping your sprayer operable.

Exact weight savings varies from sprayer to sprayer, but generally you will save between 30% - 50%. That’s a savings of 2,000 – 3,000lbs of system weight, in most cases, which makes a huge difference in weight distribution, compaction, rutting, and overall ride quality.

You get paid to farm, not weld. The beauty of this design is that is does not crack like some of the other aluminum sprayer boom designs out there. For peace of mind you have a 2-year warranty.

In the event you experience an issue due to workmanship or materials, we have you covered. Our service department is available 24-7 and ready to address any problem you have at a moment’s notice.

If it is a self-propelled sprayer, we can put our spray booms on it. Doesn’t matter the year or color. Due to our double-fold design, we are not able to do most pull-types.

Booms are typically installed anywhere from 4-6 weeks after we get order confirmation.
